Net Applications - Usage Share Statistics for Internet Technologies.

Net Applicationsから2016年1月のデスクトップブラウザシェアが発表された。1月はInternet ExplorerとFirefoxがシェアを減らし、ChromeとSafari、Operaがシェアを増やした。特にInternet Explorerの減少幅とChromeの増加幅が大きく、シェアがInternet ExplorerからChromeへ移行したものと推測される。

バージョン別に見ると、Internet Explorerはすべての主要バージョンがシェアを減らしており、全体にわたって減少傾向となった。Microsoft Edgeは最新版への移行が進んでいるほか、Chromeも最新版への移行が継続している。

この推移が継続した場合、早い段階でInternet ExplorerとChromeのシェアが逆転する可能性が見えてきている。Windows 10への移行が進むWindowsだが、Windows 10のシェア増加ほどはMicrosoft Edgeのシェアが増えておらず、オペレーティングシステムのシェア変化も含めてChromeのシェア増加が強い傾向を見せている。
