Microsoftは3月21日(米国時間)、「Create images with your words - Bing Image Creator comes to the new Bing - The Official Microsoft Blog」において、Microsoft Bingに新しくOpenAIのDALL-Eモデルを利用したAI技術によって画像を生成するサービス「Bing Image Creator」を発表した。Microsoft Bingサービスの一環として提供されるほか、Microsoft Edgeにも統合された形で提供が行われる。

発表時点で、Bing Image Creatorはプレビュー版という位置づけで提供されており、Bingプレビューが利用可能になっているユーザーが利用可能。この機能を試用したい場合は、「The New Bing - Learn More」からサインインおよびウェイトリストに登録するように求められている。すでにBingプレビューが利用可能になっているユーザーは「Image Creator from Microsoft Bing」においてBing Image Creatorの試用が可能。

MicrosoftはBing Image Creatorで不適切な画像が生成されることがないように規制を設けているほか、画像がBing Image Creatorによって生成されたものであることが示されるようになっている。本稿執筆時点では、英語でのみ画像生成の指示が可能。今後対応する言語を増やしていくと説明している。
