United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT)は1月29日(米国時間)、「Google Releases Security Updates for Chrome｜US-CERT」において、Chromeに複数の脆弱性が存在すると伝えた。あわせて同日、「Mozilla Releases Security Updates for Firefox｜US-CERT」において、Firefoxにも複数の脆弱性が存在していることを伝えている。

いずれの脆弱性も悪用されると、影響を受けるシステムが乗っ取られるおそれがある。脆弱性に関する詳しい情報は次のページにまとまっている。Chrome、Firefoxいずれも脆弱性を修正したバージョンがリリースされているので、必要に応じて、バージョンアップすることが推奨される。
